Article 1 — Purpose and scope
1.1. These general terms of use (the "Terms") set out the rules for using Movoo:
- the website www.movoo.eu and its subdomains, including the online road trip router;
- the Android app "Movoo" and its display on the car screen through Android Auto;
- the related online services (account, saving trips, sharing, groups, help centre).
Together, they form the "Service".
1.2. The Terms apply to anyone who uses the Service, with or without an account (the "User" or "you"). The Service is intended for consumers, that is, for private, leisure or travel use.
1.3. Professional use (delivery rounds, passenger transport, lone working…) is not the purpose of this Service.
Article 2 — Who publishes Movoo
The Service is published by:
| Publisher | AdminSys |
| Address | Rue Marlage, 6470 Rance, Belgique |
| Company and VAT number | BE 0891.535.116 |
| contact@movoo.eu | |
| Website | www.movoo.eu |
The other legal notices (data sources, free software) are on the page "About and legal notice" (www.movoo.eu/a-propos/) and in the app, Profile › About tab.
Article 3 — Acceptance of the Terms
3.1. You can view the public website, the help and the web router without an account. By using them, you undertake to comply with articles 7, 9 and 10 (safety and content).
3.2. You can only create an account after ticking the boxes "I accept the terms of use and have read the privacy policy" and "I am at least 16 years old". The Terms and the privacy policy are available through a link before this acceptance; the Terms can be downloaded or printed.
3.3. Movoo keeps the accepted version and its date of acceptance with your account. You can at any time reread the version in force and earlier versions (art. 4.4).
3.4. If your account was created before the first version of the Terms was published, we will ask you to accept them the next time you use the app or the website.
3.5. If a paid offer is ever made available, its specific terms must be accepted beforehand (art. 13).
Article 4 — Versions and changes to the Terms
4.1. Each version of the Terms has a number and a date of entry into force.
4.2. Movoo may change the Terms for one of the following reasons: changes to the Service, a change in the law or in a decision by an authority, security, the fight against abuse, a change of provider or of a data licence, or clarification of the wording.
4.3. Any significant change will be announced to you at least 30 days before it comes into force, by a message in the app or on the website and, if you have agreed to it, by e-mail, with a clear summary of the changes. If you do not agree, you can delete your account free of charge before the date of entry into force. A minor change (spelling, layout, contact details) may come into force immediately.
4.4. Earlier versions remain available on the Terms page (www.movoo.eu/cgu/).
Article 5 — Description of the service

5.2. The exact list of available functions, countries covered and data displayed changes over time (art. 14). It is described in the help centre (www.movoo.eu/help.html).
5.3. Some functions require an account, an Internet connection, the phone's location or Android permissions (notifications, camera, Bluetooth…).
Article 6 — Your account
6.1. Creation. You create an account with a valid e-mail address, a username (nickname) and a password. The information you provide must be accurate. An account is personal: it may not be shared, transferred or sold.
6.2. Minimum age. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Between 16 and 18, you use Movoo with the consent of your parents or legal guardian. Functions that put you in contact with strangers (public groups, nearby volunteers, public travel stories and public links to share an outing) are reserved for adults: before using them for the first time, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
6.3. Account security. You choose a strong password, keep it secret and let us know without delay at contact@movoo.eu if you think someone else is using your account.
6.4. Deletion by you. You can delete your account at any time, free of charge and immediately, from the website ("My account" page) or the app (Profile). Deletion erases your data in line with the privacy policy; some content already published remains visible anonymously (reports still active, published places), as explained in that policy.
Article 7 — Safety on the road and in the field: must read
This article is the most important part of the Terms. A short version is also shown in the app before the first guidance.
7.1. Guidance is an aid, not an order. Movoo's routes and instructions are indicative. They are calculated automatically from data that may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You must always:
- obey the highway code and the signs and signals on site (road signs, traffic lights, road markings, officers), which always take precedence over Movoo;
- judge for yourself whether a path, track or road is passable, permitted and safe for your vehicle, your skill level and the current conditions (weather, darkness, ground condition);
- never follow an instruction that seems dangerous, prohibited or impossible to you.
7.2. Never handle your phone while driving. Prepare your trip and set up Movoo while stationary. While moving, only use voice guidance, Android Auto or a fixed mount, within the limits allowed by the law of the country. If you need to use the app (report, reply, change trip), stop in a safe place or let a passenger do it. Functions designed to be used "with a single tap" do not exempt you from this rule.
7.3. The information displayed is indicative and may be missing. In particular:
- speed limits;
- speed cameras and danger zones;
- hazards, police checks, accidents and blocked passages reported by other users;
- roadworks and road closures, which come from public bodies and may be late, incomplete or missing for some countries or regions;
- the heights, widths, weights and other limits used for the motorhome size: a restriction missing from the map does not mean the way is permitted;
- the weather, altitude, opening hours and the existence of places (fuel stations, water points, mountain huts, areas).
The absence of information (no speed camera, no roadworks, no hazard reported) never means that there is none.
7.4. Speed cameras: the law varies by country. Movoo automatically applies the known rules of each country:
- in some countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal), the position of fixed speed cameras may be displayed;
- in France, the position of speed cameras is not displayed: only danger zones are;
- in Germany and Switzerland, warning of speed cameras is prohibited: Movoo displays and announces none;
- elsewhere, Movoo applies the strictest rule as a precaution.
These rules may change and country detection may be wrong near a border. You remain responsible for complying with the law of the country you are travelling in, in particular by switching off prohibited functions, and for complying with speed limits at all times.
7.5. Risky activities. Motorcycling, quad riding, off-roading, mountain biking, cycling and hiking carry their own risks (falls, isolation, terrain, weather, altitude, fatigue). You take part in these activities at your own risk: check your equipment, your physical fitness, the weather and the access rules (tracks closed to motor vehicles, protected areas, private property). A track or path suggested by Movoo is no guarantee that it is legally open to your mode of travel.
7.6. Battery, network and GPS. Guidance, recording and alerts depend on the battery, the mobile network and the GPS signal. Take a paper map or another means of navigation for remote outings.
Article 8 — Emergency button, guardian angel, volunteers and group alerts
In an emergency, call 112 first. Movoo never calls the emergency services for you.
8.1. What these functions do. The emergency button (SOS) alerts the emergency contacts you have chosen and, if you have switched it on, Movoo volunteers nearby. The guardian angel alerts your contacts if you have not confirmed your return by the planned time. A convoy's "need help" alert notifies the members of your group.
8.2. What they are not. These functions:
- do not replace the emergency services (112, 100, 101, mountain rescue…) and do not alert them;
- are not a monitoring service: nobody at Movoo monitors alerts or intervenes;
- are not a lone worker alarm system within the meaning of employment regulations, and must not be used as such by an employer or a self-employed person;
- do not guarantee that an alert will be sent, received, read or followed by help.
8.3. What they depend on. An alert may be delayed or never sent, in particular if:
- the phone has no network, no battery left, is switched off, broken or has closed the app;
- location is inaccurate or switched off;
- the chosen contacts have no network, have turned off notifications, have no valid e-mail address, do not read the message or cannot act;
- no volunteer is available nearby;
- third-party services (Google notifications, e-mail) are down;
- the phone-to-phone alert relay, without Internet, finds no member within range.
8.4. Your obligations. You choose contacts who have agreed to this role, you test the function, you keep the information up to date and you never send a false alert. Misuse (repeated alerts for no reason, harassment) may lead to suspension of the function or of the account (art. 17). The number of alerts is limited to 3 per 24 hours.
8.5. Nearby volunteers. Becoming a volunteer is optional, is done in the Profile and can be withdrawn at any time. A volunteer is neither a first-aider nor an agent of Movoo. They have no obligation to intervene. If they decide to help, they do so freely, without putting themselves in danger, and by calling 112 first if necessary. Movoo does not check the identity, skills or intentions of volunteers. Do not stay alone with a stranger if you do not feel safe.
Article 9 — Your content (reports, photos, places, travel stories, messages)
9.1. What your content is. "Content" means everything you publish or send through the Service: reports (police checks, hazards, roadworks…), "still there / gone" votes, photos, suggested places (mountain huts, areas, water points…) and problems reported on a place, travel stories and public outing links, the name and description of a group, group messages and private messages, suggestions and questions sent to the team.
9.2. You remain the owner. You keep your rights in your Content. You guarantee that you have the right to publish it (you took the photo, or you have the consent of its author and of any recognisable people who appear in it).
9.3. Licence granted to Movoo. To operate the Service, you grant Movoo, free of charge, worldwide, a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, technically adapt (format, size, cropping, blurring), display and transmit your Content to the other users concerned and to the public when you have chosen to make it public. This licence:
- applies only to providing and improving the Service; it does not allow your photos to be sold to third parties, and any use of your photos in Movoo's communications will be asked of you separately;
- lasts as long as the Content is online, and ends when it is deleted (by you, by expiry or with your account), except for reports and places already published, which may remain visible anonymously for the benefit of the community, and except where retention is required by law;
- never applies to group messages, which Movoo cannot read (end-to-end encryption).
9.4. What is prohibited. You must not publish or send Content that:
- is false or misleading, in particular a false report of a hazard, police check, closure or emergency;
- is illegal: incitement to hatred or violence, harassment, threats, child sexual abuse material, glorification of terrorism, invasion of privacy, defamation, counterfeiting;
- shows a person in a recognisable way without their consent, a legible number plate or an officer on duty;
- gives the location of a police check where the law prohibits it (Germany, Switzerland…);
- is advertising or spam, or links to malicious websites;
- reveals other people's sensitive data (health, private address…).
9.5. You are responsible for your Content and the consequences of publishing it.
Article 10 — Reporting illegal content, moderation and complaints
10.1. Single point of contact. For any question relating to the European Digital Services Act (DSA), users and authorities can write to contact@movoo.eu, in French, English, Dutch or German.
10.2. Reporting content. Anyone, even without an account, can report to us Content they consider illegal:
- in the app: long press on the message › "Report to Movoo", or the "Gone" / "Report a problem" button on a report or a place;
- by e-mail to the address above, stating: the exact location of the content (link, screenshot, position), the reasons why it is illegal, your name and e-mail (except for child sexual abuse content) and a statement of good faith.
Movoo acknowledges receipt, handles the report diligently and objectively, and informs you of the decision.
10.3. Encrypted messages. Movoo cannot read group messages. A message only reaches us if a member forwards it to us by reporting it (tick box). Movoo can then act on the author's account, not on the message itself.
10.4. Moderation. Road reports are published immediately, without prior checking; they expire on their own and can be removed by users' votes or by the team. Suggested places are only published after approval by the Movoo team. Movoo may, without having to check all of them, remove or hide Content that breaks the law or these Terms, restrict a function (reporting, SOS, groups) or suspend an account (art. 17). Moderation is carried out by a person; automatic rules only limit the number of submissions.
10.5. Reasons and complaints. When Movoo removes any of your Content or restricts your account, you receive an explanation (the Content concerned, the decision, the facts, the rule applied, whether an automated tool was used, and your means of redress). You can challenge the decision by e-mail within 6 months; it is reviewed by a person. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.
10.6. Serious offences. If Movoo becomes aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence threatening the life or safety of a person, it informs the competent judicial or police authorities.
Article 11 — Groups, messaging, convoy and trip sharing
11.1. Groups. A group is private by default. A public group can be found and joined on request. A group's administrator can invite, accept and remove members and delete the group; this does not make them responsible for the content of other members. Anyone who has an invitation link or QR code can join the group: only share it with people you trust.
11.2. Encrypted messaging. Group messages are end-to-end encrypted: Movoo can neither read them nor restore them. They exist only on members' phones. If you lose your phone or log out, the history may be lost.
11.3. Convoy. Your position is shared with a group only after you agree, and sharing stops when you decide. Each driver remains solely responsible for their own driving: the convoy does not require you to follow another vehicle or to ride at a given speed.
11.4. Trip sharing. You can share a trip with another member as read-only or as editable. A member with edit rights can change the trip; Movoo is not responsible for changes made by the people you have invited. A public link to an outing is visible to anyone who receives it, and may be picked up by social networks; it is deleted automatically after 90 days or when you remove it.
Article 12 — Map data, sources and licences
12.1. Maps, roads and places mainly come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, data available under the Open Database License (ODbL). The other sources (base maps, terrain, weather Open-Meteo, fuel prices, Wikimedia Commons photos, roadworks and road closures published by public bodies) and their licences are listed on the "About and legal notice" page and in the app (Profile › About).
12.2. These data are supplied by their producers without any guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Movoo filters and converts them, but cannot check every piece of information on the ground. Indicative information: always obey the signs on site.
12.3. The free software used by Movoo remains subject to its own licences, listed in the same place.
12.4. You can improve the map by contributing directly to OpenStreetMap (www.openstreetmap.org).
Article 13 — Free service
Movoo is free, with certain usage limits described in the app (for example the number of saved trips). If a paid offer is made available, specific terms will be published and must be accepted beforehand.
Article 14 — Availability, maintenance and changes to the service
14.1. Availability. Movoo makes its best efforts to keep the Service available at all times, but cannot guarantee it. It may be interrupted, slowed down or degraded, in particular for maintenance (announced in advance when possible, preferably at night), an update, a failure of a hosting provider or a third-party service (maps, weather, backup route calculation, notifications), a cyberattack, or a case of force majeure.
14.2. Offline. Some functions work without a network (trip already calculated, recording), others do not (recalculation, weather, reports, alerts). The help centre specifies which.
14.3. Changes. Movoo may develop the Service: add, change or remove functions, countries covered or data sources, in particular for reasons of security, law, licensing or cost.
14.4. No guarantee of results, but a conforming service. Movoo does not guarantee that a route will be the fastest, the shortest, the most beautiful or passable, nor that any information will be accurate or complete (art. 7 and 12). This does not limit your statutory rights: the Service must conform to its description and to legitimate expectations, and you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services. In the event of a lack of conformity, contact us: we will fix it; failing that, you may end the contract.
14.5. End of the Service. If Movoo decides to stop all or part of the Service, it will notify you in advance, as far as possible at least 30 days beforehand, and allow you to export your data.
Article 15 — Liability
15.1. Movoo's liability. Movoo is liable for damage caused by its fault or by a defect in the Service, under the conditions laid down by law. Movoo is not liable for:
- your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, the highway code or the warnings in art. 7;
- Content published by other users, unless it failed to act promptly after being informed of its manifestly illegal nature;
- damage due to force majeure, or to a failure of the mobile network, of your phone, of your vehicle or of a third-party service that Movoo does not control;
- indirect damage (loss of time, of a booking, of an opportunity), to the extent permitted by law.
15.2. What Movoo never limits. No clause in these Terms limits or excludes Movoo's liability:
- in the event of death or personal injury (harm to life, physical integrity or health, including psychological health);
- in the event of intentional misconduct (fraud) or gross negligence by Movoo or its agents;
- for damage caused by a defective product, including software, within the meaning of product liability law;
- for failure to perform an essential obligation of the contract;
- nor any other mandatory right granted to you by the law of your country of residence.
15.3. Your liability. You are responsible for your use of the Service and for your Content. If a third party makes a claim against Movoo because of illegal Content you published or use in breach of the Terms, you bear the consequences within the limits of the law.
Article 16 — Intellectual property
16.1. The name Movoo, the logo, the website, the app, their code, their presentation, their texts, icons, pictograms and own databases are protected and belong to AdminSys or its licensors.
16.2. Movoo grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and free right to use the Service for your private use, for as long as you use it.
16.3. Unless authorised in writing or permitted by a legal exception, you must not copy, modify, decompile, extract data on a large scale ("scraping"), resell, or reuse the Service or its data for commercial purposes, circumvent account limits or technical protections, or overload the servers (automated requests).
16.4. Free (open source) components and open data remain subject to their own licences (art. 12), which prevail for those elements; nothing in these Terms limits the rights they grant you.
Article 17 — Suspension and closure of an account
17.1. By you: at any time (art. 6.4).
17.2. By Movoo, in the event of a breach. Movoo may, in a way that is proportionate to the breach:
- give a warning;
- restrict a function (reporting, publishing photos, SOS, groups);
- suspend the account for a limited period;
- close the account in the event of a serious or repeated breach (false emergency alerts, repeated false reports, harassment, seriously illegal content, compromising the security of the Service).
Except in urgent cases (danger to a person, legal obligation, investigation), you are informed before the measure and may submit your comments. In all cases, you receive the reasons and may challenge the decision (art. 10.5).
17.3. Effects. On closure, you may request an export of your data for 30 days, unless the law or an investigation prevents it; your data are then deleted in line with the privacy policy.
Article 18 — Personal data
How Movoo processes your personal data (data collected, purposes, retention periods, processors, transfers outside the EU, your rights and how to exercise them) is described in the privacy policy (www.movoo.eu/privacy.html), which forms an integral part of the information given to you but is not a contract that you accept. For any question: contact@movoo.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données) (www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
Article 19 — Applicable law, disputes and mediation
19.1. Applicable law. These Terms are governed by Belgian law. If you live in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection granted to you by the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence (Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 "Rome I", art. 6).
19.2. Complaints. If there is a problem, first contact Movoo at contact@movoo.eu. We will reply as soon as possible, normally within 15 working days.
19.3. Mediation. If we cannot find a solution, you can contact free of charge the Service de médiation pour le consommateur (Consumer Mediation Service), boulevard du Roi Albert II 8, boîte 1, 1000 Bruxelles, contact@mediationconsommateur.be, www.mediationconsommateur.be. You can also contact the European Consumer Centre in your country if you live in another EU country.
19.4. Courts. Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent courts under the ordinary rules. If you are a consumer, you can always bring proceedings before the court of the place where you live, and Movoo can only bring proceedings against you before that court (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 "Brussels I bis", art. 17 and 18).
19.5. European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform. It no longer exists: it was closed on 20/07/2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228, which repeals Regulation (EU) No 524/2013). No link to it is therefore given.
Article 20 — Miscellaneous provisions
20.1. Language. The Terms are written in French and translated into English, Dutch and German. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
20.2. Partial invalidity. If a clause is declared invalid or unenforceable, the others remain valid; the invalid clause is replaced by the applicable legal rule.
20.3. Non-waiver. The fact that Movoo does not enforce a right at a given time does not mean that it waives it.
20.4. Assignment. Movoo may transfer the contract to a company that takes over the operation of the Service, provided that your rights are not reduced; you will be informed in advance and may delete your account free of charge if you do not agree.
20.5. Evidence. Movoo's computer records (logs, timestamps, acknowledgements of receipt) are deemed authentic unless proven otherwise.
